Concerts
We delight in presenting three annual concerts—Fall, Winter, and Spring—that offer a diverse repertoire of musical styles. From Broadway and Classical to Pop, Traditional, Contemporary, Jazz, Gospel, and beyond, our performances showcase a wide range of genres. Each concert features our talented ensembles: the Master Chorale, Children's Chorus, and Chamber Choir, ensuring a rich and dynamic experience for our audiences.
Community Outreach
Where music meets community. As a true community choir, we are deeply committed to representing and enriching our local neighborhoods. Our passion for music extends beyond the stage as we actively outreach to our local cities, seeking out opportunities to give back and make a meaningful impact.
Some of our community events include benefit concerts for the Sandy Hook and San Bernardino communities, Christmas Tree Lightings, holiday concerts at Northridge Hospital and local parades. We’re eager to explore innovative ways to serve our community. If you have an opportunity where music could make a meaningful impact, we’d be delighted to hear from you. Together we can create a more vibrant and connected community through the power of song.
Studio Recordings
We are honored to be frequently invited to participate in special projects including studio recordings & music videos. We have recorded at East/West Studio, Silent Zoo and others in the southern California area. Some of our past projects include Disney's Live Dumbo Movie Trailer, Marth's “Letters From Isaiah”, Disney's Kingdom Heart III World Tour, STEALHEART'S "Trust in Love" video and more.
Tours
Every summer we plan a tour to new communities. Some of our past tours included New York, Boston, Connecticut, San Francisco, San Diego, Santa Barbara and Las Vegas. Presently, we are planning a return performance to Carnegie Hall in summer of 2026 !

Celebrating over 12 years of making music, City of Angels Community Choirs was founded in 2012 by Artistic Director Richard Medrano. Born from a vision to strengthen community ties throughout the San Fernando Valley, our choir brings together people from diverse walks of life through a shared passion for music. We take pride in the rich diversity of our members, encompassing a wide range of ages, races, faiths, and backgrounds.
What sets us apart is our commitment to not just creating great choral experiences, but cultivating a close supportive community. Beyond our rehearsals, we gather for dinners and annual parties, providing opportunities for members to connect, build friendships, and feel valued. These gatherings foster a welcoming environment where everyone can experience the sense of belonging to something larger than themselves.
Mission Statement
The City of Angels Community Choirs is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to educate and develop aspiring singers while serving and promoting the interest of the performing arts in our community. We offer extraordinary performances to our audiences and provide unforgettable world class musical opportunities to a culturally diverse group of singers ages 6 and up. We lead all members to focus on the good the world has to offer, what they can contribute to it, and to discover their inner artist
